Laser Genesis uses a long pulsed NDYag technology to gently heat the skin. It is a treatment suited to those with red, sensitive skin and rosacea. It is not a painful laser, and is much more comfortable than traditional rosacea laser treatments. Most people enjoy the warm feeling of the treatment,  which can become addictive!

What is the recommended treatment plan? Before starting treatment you will need a medical consultation with Dr Grant, during which time a medical and dermal therapy plan will be customised to your concerns. You may be prescribed certain medications and we will arrange a test patch and education session with our dermal therapists. Expect an intensive treatment plan for the first 12 weeks, combining corrective peels, lasers or exosome treatments. Most patients then continue on a regular laser maintenance programme.

How do I prepare for Laser Genesis? Use SPF daily and avoid any irritating products such as Vitamin C, retinol of exfoliants for 3 days prior to your treatment. Do not use spray tan or expose the skin to the sun for tanning for 2- 3 weeks prior to, and during your series of vascular laser treatments.

What can I expect during Laser Genesis?
This laser is a relaxing  treatment experience - you’ll feel a gentle warmth on the skin. Warning- it’s addictive!

What is the downtime for Laser Genesis? There is no significant downtime- it’s a lunchtime treatment. Immediately after a Laser Genesis treatment, your skin will feel warm, smooth and plump. It may stay pink for a few hours, resolving as a beautiful glow. Mineral makeup may be applied if desired.

12 week Skin Programme We offer a 12 week initial program to target redness and sensitive skin combining home care, corrective peels and combination vascular laser treatments to improve the underlying dermal inflammation seen in rosacea and skin barrier impairment. Once the inflammation has settled, we then work on improving the skin strength with collagen induction using Tixel or Ultraclear laser.

Cost At your initial consultation, our team will assess your concerns and provide an individualised treatment plan and quote. A medicare rebate may be available for clients who have vascular laser treatments to manage severe rosacea. Suitability for treatment and costs will be discussed during your consultation.
