What is the recommended treatment plan? Before starting treatment you will need a medical consultation with Dr Grant, during which time a medical and dermal therapy plan will be customised to your concerns. Expect a treatment course of 3- 6 treatments every 4  weeks.  Most patients then continue on a regular laser maintenance programme of 3- 4 sessions a year.

Patients older than 40, especially those with extensive sun exposure, acne scarring or perimenopausal women, will benefit from a course of a stronger treatment, the UltraClear® laser which combines a 3D MIRACL™ treatment with deep dermal remodelling in one session However for patients who would like to continue a low downtime treatment, a series of 6 3D MIRACL™ treatments will yield significant results.

How do I prepare for a 3DMIRACL™ Laser Treatment ? Before starting treatment, skin is prepared with medical grade homecare for 4 weeks to optimise results. This is especially important for darker skin types to prevent post- inflammatory pigmentation. Use SPF daily and avoid any irritating products such as Vitamin C, retinol or exfoliants for 3 days prior to your treatment. Do not use spray tan or expose the skin to the sun for tanning for 2- 3 weeks prior to, and during your series of treatments.

What can I expect during the 3DMIRACL™ procedure? The precise and rapid nature of energy delivery using 3DMiracl™ means that superficial skin is vapourised without significant thermal injury. This “cold” type of laser makes it a relatively painless procedure, and no local anaesthetic is required. Clinical studies showing the average pain score as just 1.7/10. A full face treatment takes between 30 minutes, with additional time added for the neck, decolletage or body areas if chosen.

What is the downtime for the 3DMIRACL™ Laser ? Expect a feeling of extreme warmth, redness and mild swelling after your treatment, which will settle over the next 1 - 2 days. You can apply make-up and go back to work the next day. Shedding of the upper layers of skin typically occurs 2-3 days post procedure. When this has settled the new skin will be smooth and glowing, but may be a little pink and dry for the next few weeks.. You’ll first notice improvement after the skin has peeled, with results continuing to improve over the next 2-3 months.
