Non-Ablative Fractionated Laser (ResurfX)

Non-ablative fractionated laser, also called ResurfX, is a non-invasive laser therapy that penetrates deep layers of the skin to induce collagen remodelling. This improves skin texture by reducing the appearance of fine lines, pores, scars and stretch marks.  It is suitable for the lines around the mouth and eyes, neck, chest and other body areas. Our Resurfx laser is especially useful to treat acne and surgical scars, stretch marks and for general skin rejuvenation. Resurfx is a powerful medical laser, and is used in the Concord burns unit, to improve scars from severe burns.

Non ablative Fractionated Laser treatments have  less downtime compared to traditional fractionated treatments and most people return to work after a few days - perfect for a Thursday or Friday treatment.

Booking

Procedure Time
1 hour, this includes application of topical anaesthetic.

Recommended Plan
Initial patch test then monthly sessions over 2 - 3 months. Maintenance every 12 months.

Planning
Plan your treatment at least 2 weeks before a special event.

Downtime / Aftercare
Mild to moderate redness and swelling for 2-3 days. Skin may appear red/sunburnt for 5- 7 days. Clean mineral makeup can be applied after 24 hours.

  • 1/3 Face $250 (eg: cheeks, around the mouth or eye areas).

Special Considerations

  • It is essential you avoid tanning products and sun exposure for the 2 weeks leading up to and after your treatment.

  • If you have had a cold sore in the treatment area we advise using antiviral medication before and after your treatment. Talk to us about this before your appointment.

  • We advise at least 2 weeks of prescribed skin care before and after your treatment to enhance efficacy and recovery.

  • Avoid active skin care for the week after your Resurfx, we will advise you on a suitable skin treatment during our consultation

Vascular Laser

Our Multispot NdYag laser specifically targets red pigment and small vascular structures such as leg veins, cherry angiomas, telangiectasia (dilated blood vessels), congenital vascular birthmarks, rosacea and capillaries.

After the laser breaks down the blood vessel, the red pigment is cleared by your immune cells and lymphatic system. Some vessels disappear almost immediately while others, such as those on the legs, can take up to 12 weeks to clear.

Several sessions are required for full treatment.

A medicare rebate may be accessed for clients with severe rosacea or congenital vascular lesions e.g. port wine stains, vascular birthmarks. Your suitability for this will be assess during your consultation.
