Tixel® is uses radiant heat to rejuvenate the skin, reduce skin laxity, and repair sun damage. It will improve general complexion, improve luminosity, fine lines and texture, and can thicken and tighten thin skin.

Tixel is safe for the entire face, including the eyelids, neck and decolletage: areas that traditionally have been extremely challenging to improve. Tixel can be used by all skin types and and performed on any body area.

Compared to other devices, Tixel offers many advantages. As a non-ablative device, it requires minimal social downtime (usually 1 -3 days of red skin) and a favourable risk profile. Adverse effects like scarring, burns and post inflammatory pigmentation are much less likely to occur than ablative technologies.

Due to its safety profile, Tixel® is a suitable method for non surgical eye rejuvenation on both the upper and lower eyelids.If we think a surgical referral is warranted, our doctor will refer you to one of our oculoplastic surgery colleagues.

Tixel can also be used on less intensive settings to treat clinical issues by infusing medical products into the skin. This is an emerging and exciting field and opens up avenues for treating issues such as acne, hypopigmentation, rosacea and wrinkles without needles.

Booking

Consultation & Skin Preparation You must have an initial consultation to ensure your skin is suitable for treatment. We will prescribe medical grade homecare to prepare your skin for 2-4 weeks before treatment.
Procedure Initial appointments are 30 - 45 minutes depending on the area treated. We use our own custom-compounded topical local anaesthetic. Please arrive makeup free, 30 minutes prior to your treatment. Most people find the procedure warm but tolerable, with a feeling of intense heat which settles in a few hours.

Recommended Plan The initial treatment regime is 3- 6 sessions, 6 weeks apart, with maintenance every 6- 12 months to maintain results. We recommend 6 sessions for non-surgical eye rejuvenation.

Downtime / Aftercare
Expect red, hot skin for a few hours after the treatment and redness for a few days. Eyelid treatment leaves the lids slightly swollen for a few days. Makeup can be applied after 24 hours. High energy treatments may result in tiny dry dots on the skin which may last 7-10 days. Do not pick the skin to avoid infection.
