Our team has been purposefully selected by Thrive’s medical director Dr Jemima Grant based on their exceptional clinical skill, depth of knowledge, passion for the industry and experience. The Thrive Skin Clinic team have regular in house training, participate in post graduate education courses and attend conferences regularly. We are continuously researching the best treatment options for our clients. We do not compromise on results and we will work with you to achieve your aesthetic goals.
Dr Jemima Grant
BSc(Med) (Hons), BA, MBBS (Hons) FRACGP Founder/Medical Director
Dr. Grant is the founder and medical director of Thrive Skin Clinic. She is an experienced General Practitioner with over 17 years experience in medicine. Her special interest in dermatology, women’s health and holistic medicine led her to open Thrive in 2017.
Dr. Grant has a keen interest in managing adult acne, rosacea and hyperpigmentation with prescribed home care, medications, medical grade peels and laser treatments. Having suffered acne and rosacea herself, Jemima understands the negative impact skin conditions can have on self esteem and the confusion people face with so many treatments on offer. Jemima’s current favourite treatment is the Tixel- a doctor only heat based device for skin rejuvenation and non surgical eyelid tightening.
Jemima received the national medal for academic excellence in her fellowship exam in 2011. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, teaches doctors in training and is on the board of the Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine. She is currently completing her Diploma of Cosmetic Medicine, a 3 year course accredited by the RACGP and has been selected as a diplomate for the coveted UK based Aesthetics Mastery course.
Amanda Whitty
Registered Nurse
Amanda has been a registered nurse for over 5 years and has completed training with Teoxane, Galderma & Allergan. She is a talented injector and uses her artistic eye to assess the total face and plan her clinical treatments.
Her passion lies in helping people look their best, look natural and feel confident. She offers exceptional customer service to each of her clients. Her current favourite treatments include jawline and cheeks- glamourising the younger face while providing age appropriate rejuvenation for older clients. She also has a knack for beautiful, natural lip enhancement.
Amanda prides herself on giving each patient individualised treatment plans to suit all ages, budgets and goals. She takes the time to understand her clients needs and provides advice to achieve natural results through treatment.
Amanda keeps up to date with the latest techniques and regular continuing education, most recently completing her Advanced Laser & IPL certificate in 2019.
Anna Dawson
Registered Nurse
Anna brings with her a wealth of experience, training and knowledge. She has been a Registered Nurse since 1994 and has specialised in dermatology and non-surgical cosmetic treatments for the last 7 years.
Anna has a friendly and thorough approach and will take the time to listen to what you want, understand your needs and provide advice to achieve natural results through a combination of injectables, laser , peels and cosmeceuticals. Of special interest to Anna is managing the mature face and using multiple modalities to get a natural and refreshed outcome. She enjoys treating her male clients, and is able to apply the science of injecting to masculinise the face.
Anna is our most experienced dermal filler practitioner and has a knack for sculpting cheekbones and naturally luscious lips with minimal discomfort due to her use of advanced filler techniques.
Anna has completed Dermal Science courses through the Australian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science (AACDS) as well as her certificate in IPL/Laser Safety.
Danielle Lye
Advanced Beauty Therapist/Clinic Manager
Dani comes to us with a background in management and beauty therapy, with over 11 years experience in the beauty industry. She really is a powerhouse of knowledge, skill and genuine compassion- don’t let her youthful looks fool you!
She is trained in all aspects of advanced skin treatments including the Hydrafacial, peels, laser and skin needling and Tixel. She also happens to be a brow goddess and is available for all waxing and lash services by appointment only. She holds a certificate in IPL/ laser safety and is a wonderful addition to our team.
Dani’s signature treatment is combination of Hydrafacial and Dermapen treatments, which she has perfected over the last few years to suit all skin types. These 2 modalities work in perfect combination - the Hydrafacial targeting exfoliation and cleansing, while the Dermapen induces collagen and brighten skin.

Amanda Younan
Dermal Therapist
Amanda completed a Bachelor of Dermal Therapy degree in 2010, after working as a Beauty Therapist for many years. Her career has featured clinical treatments such as body contouring, radio frequency treatments and chemical peels from the very beginning. She has worked in many popular Australian clinics performing dermal treatments, laser rejuvenation and injectable preparation.
After 3 years of dermal and management experience in Melbourne, and an additional 2 years in London, Amanda returned Australia to pursue a career working as a clinical educator for one of Australia's largest cosmetic distributors.
Amanda is now excited to be a part of Thrive, and begin her new journey on the south coast. Amanda is a wealth of knowledge and literally can help anyone improve their skin concerns. She is one of our most loved clinicians already and books out easily - be sure to catch her before she departs for Maternity Leave!
